What you will do

• Lead end-to-end development of large-scale CTR and user response models for Search and Display ads.
• Design, prototype, and ship cutting-edge ML architectures including deep models, multi-task, transformer-based, and LLM-assisted models.
• Modernize modeling pipelines and improve reliability, monitoring, and performance of distributed training and serving systems.
• Collaborate with product managers and monetization teams to align modeling goals with business impact.
• Mentor applied scientists and ML engineers, fostering a culture of scientific rigor and collaboration.
• Leverage LLM-based tooling to enhance team productivity and model development velocity.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or near Mountain View, United States with onsite work expected at least four days per week
• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years related experience or Master’s/Doctorate with fewer years as specified.
• Extensive experience in statistics, predictive analytics, research, and ML model development and deployment.
• Proven leadership in ML strategy, model innovation, and mentoring technical teams.
• Strong communication skills including presenting at conferences and publishing research.
