Automation Engineer (DevOps)

Automation Engineer (DevOps): Owning and enhancing the lab's automation stack, leveraging configuration management and infrastructure-as-code to provision, update, and maintain integration environments with an accent on automating environment lifecycle, standardizing OS configurations, and managing rollouts via CI/CD pipelines. Focus on ensuring the integration catalogue remains healthy, secure, and up to date, and implementing observability and reliability measures.

What you will do

• Automate environment lifecycle, build reproducible environments, and manage rollouts via CI/CD.
• Collaborate with product teams to configure new integrations and validate third-party technologies.
• Implement logging, metrics, health checks, and automated drift detection to ensure observability and reliability.
• Define SLOs and SLIs for uptime and recovery.
• Maintain living documentation and integrate automation into self-service pipelines.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with automation and IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency in CI/CD workflows (preferably GitLab CI) and containerization (Docker).
• Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
• Solid Linux fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes or virtualization platforms.
• Exposure to observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with partner or vendor integration workflows.
