Applied Scientist (AI/LLM)

TL;DR

Applied Scientist (AI/LLM): Designing and implementing metrics for RAG with Bing Web Search and other APIs, and building complex data pipelines and dashboards. Focus on applying LLM models in judge settings, engineering prompts for data processing, and integrating classical ML for comprehensive analysis and insight generation.

Location: Barcelona, Spain. Expected to work from the office at least four days per week starting January 26, 2026, if living within a 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location.

What you will do

• Design and implement metrics for RAG with Bing Web Search and other APIs.
• Build pipelines and dashboards for Bing Grounding quality.
• Use LLM models in LLM-as-a-judge settings for data evaluation.
• Engineer prompts for textual and multi-model LLMs for data processing and generation of insights.
• Design and implement E2E pipelines from sampling anomalies to automatically updatable dashboards.
• Apply classical ML (feature engineering + model training, text and image embeddings) along with LLM to augment data analysis and processing pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND hands-on experience, OR Master’s/Doctorate with related experience.
• Proficient in working with relational and/or non-relational databases, including experience in writing queries and performing data manipulation using SQL or equivalents.
• Experience developing and applying Large Language Models (LLMs) within AI solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques for integrating external knowledge sources.
• Ability to work independently, solid collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field with hands-on experience.
