Senior People Partner (HR): Leading a small People Operations team and acting as a strategic People Partner to managers, balancing hands-on HR business partnering with fostering operational excellence. What you will do
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on organizational design, team dynamics, and workforce planning.
- Drive HR initiatives aligned with business goals, such as performance enablement, talent calibration, and engagement strategies.
- Coach managers on people leadership, feedback, and development practices.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2 People Operations Specialists based in Berlin.
- Oversee day-to-day People operations, ensuring consistent, compliant, and efficient processes across the employee lifecycle for all employees based in Europe.
- Champion operational excellence, automation, and process improvement, and optimize HR systems like Personio.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HR, including solid experience as an HR Business Partner or People Partner.
- Passion for coaching and people development, with the desire to step into a first-time lead role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence across all levels.
- Solid understanding of HR fundamentals: employment law, HRIS, performance management, and compensation & benefits.
- Experience managing complex employee relations topics with sound judgment and empathy.
- Fluency in German and English.
Nice to have
- Experience in a fast-scaling environment or start-up/scale-up culture.
- Previous informal leadership (e.g., mentoring, project leadership).
- Exposure to international HR practices or distributed teams.
- Familiarity with tools like Personio or similar HRIS.
