What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level Java applications using Spring Framework.
• Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database interactions.
• Develop multi-threaded applications for concurrent operations and low-latency performance.
• Write clean, testable code following Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate financial domain requirements into technical specifications.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• 3-15 years of professional experience in Java development with Spring Framework.
• Strong skills in SQL, multi-threading, and test-driven development.
• Experience or strong preference for investment banking or financial services domain.
• English proficiency at least B2 level.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FIX protocol, trading platforms, or risk management systems.
• Knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
