What you will do
- Identify, develop, and manage partnerships with financial institutions across Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on Nigeria and Kenya.
- Source and structure new payment products and channels to enhance the company’s portfolio.
- Collaborate with sales managers to ensure commercial success, driving adoption and achieving sales KPIs.
- Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to inform strategy and product development.
- Lead negotiations with partners and stakeholders at executive and operational levels.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities aligned with business growth objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, partnership management, or sales in the payments, fintech, or financial services sectors.
- Strong network and understanding of payment channels, schemes, acquiring, issuing, and alternative payment methods, specifically in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and partnership KPIs.
- Strategic thinker with strong project management skills and experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel as required.
