Software Engineer

TL;DR

What you will do

• Build and ship features daily in a scalable, distributed backend environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and designers in an open environment.
• Review code focusing on readability, testing, documentation, security, and performance.
• Mentor teammates through formal and informal knowledge sharing.
• Ensure visibility, error reporting, and monitoring of backend services.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work remotely from Sydney, Australia or any country with hirify.global legal entity.
• 1-3+ years experience in backend application development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with scalable RESTful microservices and proficiency in modern OOP languages (Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, Python).
• Fluency in at least one database technology (RDBMS or NoSQL).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and public cloud platforms (AWS, GAE, Azure).
