What you will do

• Develop and implement core algorithms and back-end data pipelines based on project requirements.
• Enhance cargo tracking data quality by adding features and reviewing data pipelines and integrations.
• Optimize system performance, maintain features, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and debugging skills with a proactive learning approach.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work in London, United Kingdom
• Hands-on experience with Python; Flask or SQLAlchemy is a plus.
• Solid SQL skills for querying and managing relational databases.
• Knowledge of streaming and big data technologies such as Kafka or Spark.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, and Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers and Terraform.
• Experience with Scala or other JVM languages.
• Exposure to Elasticsearch.
