What you will do

• Lead engineering teams and managers to define and evolve hirify.global's public API platform and developer interfaces.
• Deliver a reliable cloud API foundation enabling scalable self-service provisioning and operations.
• Establish and meet API SLIs/SLOs, partnering with production teams on observability and incident response.
• Drive a gRPC-first API strategy with generated REST and standardize API design and lifecycle management.
• Partner with IAM and security teams to ensure consistent authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement.
• Build and scale high-performing teams fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented culture.

Requirements

• Must have 10+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years leading multi-team organizations.
• Experience delivering reliable public APIs and backend services with measurable SLOs.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, scalable architectures, and automation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to set technical strategy and drive outcomes.
• Must be a U.S. person or eligible to access export controlled information per U.S. Government regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes control-plane/API design and CRD ergonomics.
• Knowledge of API gateways, rate limiting, multitenancy, and edge security at scale.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and policy frameworks integrated with IAM.
