What you will do

• Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs and large-scale systems for payment processing.
• Debug and resolve critical production issues across multiple service layers.
• Partner with Engineering Managers to create and deliver engineering roadmaps.
• Serve as a role model for engineering standards and consistency across codebases.
• Make critical decisions balancing best practices and stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Mentor and teach upcoming technical leaders.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Seattle, United States
• 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in strategic technical leadership.
• Experience leading teams on API design, abstractions, and developer products.
• Proven ability to deliver pragmatic solutions accelerating business growth.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adjust discussions from high-level to detailed coding.
• Ability to foster psychological safety and work effectively with diverse teams.
