Salary: San Jose: $148,800 - $178,500 USD; Draper: $126,500 - $151,700 USD

What you will do

• Join the Core Infrastructure Team managing hirify.global's infrastructure and databases.
• Architect, build, scale, and support high-throughput data platforms for mission-critical business applications.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS ECS.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to design resilient, fault-tolerant, real-time data pipelines.
• Ensure exceptional data consistency and high performance at the database level.
• Utilize technologies like Kafka and Flink for real-time streaming and data ingestion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise RDBMS (PostgreSQL/Aurora/MySQL/Oracle), focusing on optimization, security, and access control.
• 3+ years managing databases & CDC Streaming services on AWS, with strong experience in Apache/Confluent Kafka and Flink pipelines.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and GitLab, applying an SDLC approach to infrastructure.
• Strong SQL skills, knowledge of performance tuning, execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and concurrency.
• Experience implementing High Availability, replication, Change Data Capture, disaster recovery, and multi-region database deployments.
• Proficiency in Python, ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues, experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, Splunk, CloudWatch), familiarity with containers (Kubernetes/ECS/AWS), and English: B2 required.
