What you will do

• Lead and build payment solutions using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
• Own full development lifecycle ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with product teams and leadership to deliver innovative technical solutions.
• Mentor and grow the engineering team fostering a culture of excellence.
• Solve technical challenges and continuously improve the platform.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security with best practices.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or near Berlin with hybrid work format.
• English: Required proficiency, at least B2 level.
• Experience leading engineering teams and hands-on development in Java and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
• Background in fintech or payments industry preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Open Banking platforms and real-time financial systems.
• Familiarity with scalable and secure architecture design.
