TL;DR

Business Development Account Executive (AI/ML): Supporting the pursuit and capture of AI-powered decision intelligence opportunities within the Department of State with an accent on managing the full business development lifecycle across multiple simultaneous pursuits. Focus on conceptualizing winning visions, developing capture plans, leading competitive assessments, and managing internal and external capture teams.

Location: Remote (United States), based out of Chantilly, VA.

What you will do

  • Mature opportunities within the Department of State through customer engagement and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop plans for securing customer requirements, issues, and needs during pursuit and capture phases.
  • Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight.
  • Lead competitive assessments, teaming, and price-to-win efforts.
  • Support the writing of white papers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts.
  • Brief capture status to senior management and support other business development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of related experience or Master’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams.
  • Experience leading teams in a virtual environment.
  • Technical writing and proposal development experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and prior experience briefing executives.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance.

  • Ability to understand and communicate technical products or services.
  • A strong professional network in relevant industries.
  • Experience working closely with marketing teams on lead generation, campaigns, or branding.
