What you will do
- Lead and mentor Data Science teams ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.
- Define solution architectures and delivery roadmaps for complex AI/ML projects.
- Design impactful business solutions leveraging data and domain knowledge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into technical plans.
- Oversee development of optimization models, forecasting algorithms, and experimentation frameworks.
- Ensure robust deployment, monitoring, and governance of ML solutions following MLOps practices.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Lisbon, Portugal for onsite work.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Strong expertise in Python, PySpark/Spark MLlib, and experience with generative AI, LangChain, RAG, LLM production deployments, and Agentic AI.
- Experience with OCR, NLP, unstructured data processing, and computer vision.
- Deep knowledge of ML architectures and MLOps lifecycle including CI/CD, model versioning, and monitoring.
- 5+ years professional experience including leading or mentoring technical teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with SQL and distributed/cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloudera).
- Understanding of Data Governance frameworks and Azure Document Intelligence.
