Senior Network Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Network Engineer: Identifying, mitigating, and resolving high-severity network and infrastructure issues for Fidelity's internal and external business with an accent on fundamental networking technologies, network security, and cloud constructs. Focus on infrastructure as code, automation, and troubleshooting complex connectivity, storage, and application slowness problems.

Location: Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

What you will do

• Identify, mitigate, and resolve high-severity network and infrastructure issues.
• Triage and troubleshoot network down devices, application slowness, and connectivity problems.
• Enable and secure Fidelity's reputation, ensuring first-in-class reliability and uptime.
• Continuously learn, create, and improve network infrastructure and operations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, security, and architecture.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Expertise in cloud networking and security constructs (DMZ).
• In-depth knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of IP routing, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and DNS.
• Experience with ITSM practices (Change/Incident/Problem).
• Advocate for and practitioner of infrastructure-as-code.
• Python/Ansible/SDN Programming skills.

Nice to have

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCSE certifications.
• Network security experience and certifications.
• Interest in serverless, ML, AI technologies.
