Salary: $231,000–$398,500

What you will do

• Architect and build highly scalable, resilient telemetry pipelines for logs, metrics, and traces.
• Spearhead the strategy and rollout of the OpenTelemetry collector across thousands of services.
• Design platform governance frameworks, including cost allocation and resource management.
• Elevate observability practices by unifying tooling and developer experience across the organization.
• Automate infrastructure lifecycle using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform and Crossplane.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor senior engineers, and act as a final escalation point for production incidents.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep expertise in the three pillars of observability (logs, metrics, and traces).
• Strong proficiency in Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, and OpenTelemetry.
• Hands-on experience with Go, Java, or Python.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures including Kubernetes and AWS.

• Experience building and operating highly available, resilient platforms at a multi-project level.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven track record of establishing standards for operational excellence.
