What you will do

  • Sell Square's ecosystem in-person, performing discovery and demos to close deals (80% face-to-face).
  • Cultivate relationships with active Square Sellers, generate referrals, and partner with onboarding teams for successful implementation.
  • Build a sustainable pipeline through drop-ins, referrals, and strategic local partnerships.
  • Develop hands-on skills in demoing and onboarding Square hardware and software solutions.
  • Collaborate with channel sales to identify complementary partners and build referral channels.
  • Understand the business and technology needs of primary vertical markets (restaurants, retail, services) to achieve and exceed monthly sales goals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full cycle closing sales experience with field sales experience.
  • Proven ability to exceed sales targets and close complex deals independently.
  • Experience in business development, including hunting and cold calling.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live in the market you are serving.
  • Prior Salesforce or equivalent CRM experience.

Nice to have

  • 2+ years in payment processing or related technology (payroll, loyalty, time management).
  • 1+ years experience working in or selling to restaurants, retailers, or service-based businesses.
