User Experience Designer

TL;DR

User Experience Designer (UX/UI): Translate design research insights into low- and high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and development-ready UI specifications with an accent on building modern software interfaces and business process flows. Design & UX role within an IBM Software organization focused on asset lifecycle management and AI-enabled decision support products.

What you will do

• Convert actionable insights from design research into low/high-fidelity mockups, patterns, prototypes, and development-ready UI specifications.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to build, update, and modernize software product user interfaces using agile methodologies.
• Design business process scenarios, flows, and demos for user interfaces.
• Lead team stand-ups and playbacks; present design work with a compelling narrative to elicit buy-in from cross-disciplinary stakeholders.
• Understand customer business problems to provide context for deliverables and share work-in-progress with critique.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience solving complex user problems through UI design, including creating low- and high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
• Experience documenting interaction patterns for product UI and creating user scenarios for usability testing.
• Experience with task analysis, workflow design, layout & composition, and reporting conclusions in well-developed documents.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and documentation skills; ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
• Portfolio demonstrating wireframing, interaction design, and design best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise software design and delivery.
• Understanding of modern design thinking and trends, including responsiveness and accessibility.
• Demonstrated experience using AI to optimize design practices for productivity.
