Salary: $35,315 – $68,208 per year

What you will do

• Receive mentorship and apply analytical rigor and statistical methods to predict behaviors.
• Develop skills in writing efficient programs to cleanse, integrate, and model data.
• Evaluate model results and contribute to data-driven insights.
• Assist in conveying analytical results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Utilize Python to build data pipelines, extracting and transforming data.
• Gain exposure to cloud platforms, ETL tools, and data integration.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a quantitative degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage dynamic workloads in an agile environment.
• Initiative and passion to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills with a growth mindset.
• Leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively through active listening.
• Familiarity with one or more scripting languages (Python preferred) or a proven computer science foundation.
• Must be based in Buffalo, New York, USA, or willing to relocate at own expense. Candidates must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Familiarity or interest in statistical analysis or data mining through previous projects.
• General familiarity with databases, data-engineering tools (SQL, Spark) and cloud platforms.
• Experience with NLP/LLM/GenAI.
• Experience using machine-learning/data science libraries in Python (scikit-learn, SciPy, pandas, PyTorch).
