Data Engineer

Salary: $77,600–$176,000 (annualized USD).

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain complex data applications at enterprise scale.
• Build and modify data transformations using Palantir Foundry Data Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories.
• Create software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT workflows to support reporting and analytics.
• Diagnose errors, read logs, and troubleshoot issues within the Palantir Foundry environment.
• Guide multi-disciplinary teams in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in application development and data engineering.
• 3+ years of experience building scalable ETL/ELT workflows.
• Must hold or be eligible for a Secret clearance.
• Proficiency with PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry (Ontology, Workshop, Pipeline Builder).
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with distributed computing tools like Databricks, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) and data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift).
• Experience with UNIX/Linux and Shell scripting.
