What you will do

• Continuously monitor and assess emerging threats including zero-days, exploitation campaigns, and bug bounty reports.
• Conduct investigations using SIEM, Cloud Logging, and telemetry to analyze potential impacts.
• Identify detection gaps and propose improvements in security visibility.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with Security, SRE, and Engineering teams.
• Document findings and coordinate containment, patches, and fixes.

Requirements

• Location: Must work from Foster City, CA office with in-office presence on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud architecture, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, Cloud Logging, and log-based investigations.
• Ability to analyze vulnerabilities, exploits, and threat intelligence.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with threat intelligence, security research, or vulnerability analysis.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, serverless, or distributed systems.
• Ability to write scripts or automation tools (Python, Go, Bash).
• Experience with bug bounty programs or coordinated vulnerability disclosure.
• Experience in fast-paced, cloud-native, or AI/ML-driven environments.
