Data Visualization Analyst

Data Visualization Analyst (AI): Designing and building interactive dashboards and visual frameworks to track and forecast emerging safety and abuse risks, geopolitical developments, and strategic threats for hirify.global products. Focus on translating complex intelligence and forecast outputs into clear, interactive visual stories and establishing a visual source of truth for strategic risk themes.

Location: Onsite in San Francisco. US-based candidates only.

Salary: $198,000–$320,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design and build dashboards and interactive visualizations to track emerging safety and abuse risks and geopolitical developments.
• Develop interactive risk views, including prioritization heat maps and forecast views of risk trajectories.
• Partner with analysts and investigators to translate narrative intelligence into visual formats and standardize incident visualization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ingest and align data from multiple sources and ensure visualization accuracy.
• Establish and maintain a visual “source of truth” for strategic risk themes and cross-geography views.
• Create templates, style guides, and reusable components for consistent, high-quality visual materials.

Requirements

• Significant experience (typically 4+ years) in data visualization, business intelligence, or analytics, ideally in security, trust and safety, intelligence, risk, or policy environments.
• Demonstrated expertise with at least one major data visualization / BI stack (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Mode, Superset).
• Strong baseline analytics skills, including experience taking data from APIs, building ETL pipelines, and wrangling structured and unstructured data.
• Experience visualizing time-series, event-based, and scenario/forecast data.
• Strong skills in structuring and visualizing complex problem spaces, such as multi-dimensional risk taxonomies or geospatial views.
• Solid visual and graphic design capabilities, including an eye for clear information design and experience with tools such as Figma or Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for querying large datasets and building data pipelines.
• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to define requirements and iterate quickly on visual products.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React or D3.js (or similar JavaScript-based visualization libraries).
