What you will do

• Provide input and labels on projects using proprietary software.
• Support delivery of high-quality curated data for AI training.
• Collaborate with technical staff to improve annotation tools and AI task training.
• Select and solve complex problems in Earth Science to guide AI model improvements.
• Interpret and execute tasks based on evolving instructions.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US (excluding Wyoming and Illinois) or Palo Alto for onsite role.
• No visa sponsorship available.
• Master’s or PhD in Earth Science or related field with specialization in subdomains like oceanography, geophysics, or atmospheric science.
• Proficiency in English reading and writing; strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and navigate diverse information resources.
• Reliable access to required technology (Chromebook, MacOS 11+, or Windows 10+ and smartphone).

Nice to have

• Publications in peer-reviewed journals, preferably as first author.
• Previous AI tutoring or teaching experience.
• Experience in technical writing or journalism.
