What you will do

• Collaborate with domain experts to translate scientific requirements into robust, maintainable software.
• Own and improve internal modeling stacks through refactoring, testing, and performance optimization.
• Design and implement APIs and configuration management for reproducible and debuggable workflows.
• Build and maintain orchestration pipelines for simulation ensembles and data validation.
• Work primarily with Python and Julia, integrating ML-adjacent components.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the United States
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and production-grade Python skills.
• Comfort with Julia or willingness to learn deeply.
• Experience with API design, configuration management, and complex workflow execution.
• Familiarity with performance profiling, ML frameworks integration (PyTorch preferred), and orchestration tooling.
• Background in geophysics, reservoir simulation, or scientific computing domains is highly valued.
