Location: Remote (UK) or Cardiff / London office (UK). This role is open to distributed working within the UK.

Salary: £55,000 to £77,000 + Stock Options + Benefits

What you will do

• Lead initiatives to improve credit underwriting, boost growth, and manage portfolio risk.
• Design and roll-out new lending strategies by translating data patterns into insights.
• Monitor performance of existing strategies and iterate for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, product, risk, and control teams.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor credit models to drive strategic business decisions.
• Build and maintain database tables and dashboards for rapid, data-driven insights.

Requirements

• Experience in unsecured retail lending and understanding of the lending market, economics, and pricing dynamics.
• Proven experience developing and deploying underwriting and credit risk strategies.
• Strong analytical and data capabilities, with technical coding skills; SQL is a must-have.
• Working understanding of UK lending regulations.
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex problems and decisions.
• Some experience in project management and cross-team coordination.

• Python and Looker experience.
