What you will do
- Lead initiatives to improve credit underwriting, boost growth, and manage portfolio risk.
- Design and roll-out new lending strategies by translating data patterns into insights.
- Monitor performance of existing strategies and iterate for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, product, risk, and control teams.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor credit models to drive strategic business decisions.
- Build and maintain database tables and dashboards for rapid, data-driven insights.
Requirements
- Experience in unsecured retail lending and understanding of the lending market, economics, and pricing dynamics.
- Proven experience developing and deploying underwriting and credit risk strategies.
- Strong analytical and data capabilities, with technical coding skills; SQL is a must-have.
- Working understanding of UK lending regulations.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex problems and decisions.
- Some experience in project management and cross-team coordination.
