What you will do

• Design and implement scalable and secure database schemas.
• Optimize SQL queries and perform performance tuning including indexing and parameter configuration.
• Manage database security, access control, and compliance with encryption standards.
• Configure high availability and disaster recovery solutions including multi-AZ deployments and backups.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance using AWS tools like CloudWatch and Performance Insights.
• Plan and manage database capacity, storage scaling, and data retention policies.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work onsite in Stamford, CT, United States
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in database administration and optimization.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL including performance tuning and high availability.
• Experience with security best practices, disaster recovery, and AWS monitoring tools.
• English: Proficient (B2) or higher required
