Location: This position is based in Mountain View, CA, United States. You are required to be local to the San Francisco area and in office 3 days a week. From January 26, 2026, employees living within 50 miles of a Microsoft office are expected to work from the office at least four days a week.

Salary: USD $188,000 – $304,200 per year (San Francisco Bay area)

• Build secure and performant AI Platform services that power Copilot.
• Work collaboratively with Platform, infrastructure, application engineers, and AI Researchers to build next-generation AI products and services.
• Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
• Overcome roadblocks to deliver work into users' hands quickly and iteratively.
• Contribute to a fast-paced, design-driven product development cycle.

Requirements

• 6+ years of technical engineering experience building web services with coding in Python, Golang, Java/Scala, or Rust.
• Experience working with AI platforms, frameworks, and APIs.
• Experience using, deploying, and scaling language learning models (LLMs).
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues for optimal performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Dedication to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a focus on quality, performance, and security.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers.
