Technical Program Manager (Responsible AI)

TL;DR

Technical Program Manager (AI): Establishing and operationalizing AI safety, governance, and responsibility practices across the model lifecycle, with an accent on identifying risks, setting responsible AI standards, and ensuring appropriate mitigations. Location: Must work from a designated hirify.global office at least four days a week if living within 25 miles of that location.

What you will do

• Collaborate with model development teams to identify risks and ensure appropriate mitigations.
• Establish, improve, and operationalize foundation model governance processes.
• Produce analyses and recommendations to support hirify.global decision-making on AI & society topics.
• Drive organizational clarity on complex AI responsibility and safety questions.
• Develop and embed Responsible AI best practices.
• Partner with colleagues to develop and apply innovative governance processes.

Requirements

• Related bachelor’s degree AND experience in AI policy, AI governance, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience identifying and addressing risks related to frontier AI.
• Deep understanding of current challenges and priorities in AI responsibility and safety.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders and guide mitigation efforts.
• Experience operationalizing governance processes or managing complex programs.
• Track record of delivering on cross-functional projects in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience drafting model-level policies or evaluating foundation models.
• Research background in fields related to AI and society.
• Broad perspective on AI risks.
• Familiarity with frontier AI governance frameworks and emerging AI regulation.
