What you will do

• Design, train, and deploy gesture detection algorithms on ultra-low-power embedded hardware.
• Evaluate and adapt ML models for mobile-class hardware deployment.
• Own full development cycle including system design, data collection, model training, and on-device optimization.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and product teams to integrate algorithms with hardware.
• Research and develop new approaches to meet unique product goals.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in software engineering, ML research, or related fields.
• Proven experience deploying ML algorithms on embedded or resource-constrained devices.
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++ and ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong skills in signal processing and time-series analysis for sensor data.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, machine learning, or related field.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s or Ph.D. in relevant field.
• Experience with wearables, IMUs, or tactile/force sensors.
• Familiarity with synthetic data generation and augmentation.
• Startup or fast-moving product environment experience.
• Track record optimizing algorithms for power, latency, and memory footprint.
