Salary: $255,000 – $440,000 + equity

What you will do

• Architect, implement, and scale core payment infrastructure and financial primitives.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Product, and external vendors to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure high ownership and compliance in the regulated payments domain.
• Create seamless global checkout user experiences.
• Improve reliability, observability, and auditability of money movement systems.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or relocate to San Francisco, CA
• 5+ years professional software engineering experience, preferably in payments or financial systems at scale.
• Familiarity with payment processors like Stripe, Adyen, or Braintree, or experience building internal financial systems.
• Strong product mindset and ability to design for long-term flexibility.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
