Software Engineer, Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Hybrid, four days per week in the Mountain View or San Francisco office

Hourly pay: $57–$69

Company

Glean develops a Work AI platform combining enterprise search, an AI Assistant, scalable AI agents, enterprise knowledge graphs, SaaS connectors, and APIs.

What you will do

• Own a scoped, high-impact project from problem definition and design through implementation, testing, launch, and outcome measurement.
• Develop and ship reliable, well-tested, maintainable production-quality code.
• Participate in thoughtful code reviews and incorporate iterative feedback.
• Contribute across backend services, product engineering, ML/AI/search, infrastructure, security, or UI/full-stack work based on interests.
• Collaborate with people within and beyond the assigned team.

Requirements

• Graduating in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 with a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or an equivalent program.
• Prior internship experience in backend, infrastructure, security, UI/full-stack, ML, NLP, or search.
• Strong foundation in computer science and software development fundamentals.
• Ability to learn quickly, work as a team player, and demonstrate ownership.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement four days per week from the Mountain View or San Francisco office.
