Software Engineer Data Systems (Python)

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, reliable data pipelines ingesting and transforming data from diverse sources.
• Build and maintain secure, tenant-aware APIs for flexible data integrations.
• Work with event-driven and batch processing architectures ensuring data freshness and consistency.
• Drive clean API design supporting real-time and batch ingestion with diverse authentication mechanisms.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting to ensure transparency and reliability.
• Optimize data flows balancing cost, efficiency, and rapid development in a cloud-native environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in data engineering or software engineering focused on ETL, APIs, and data pipeline orchestration.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with API-based ETL including REST, GraphQL, and Webhooks.
• Proficiency in SQL and BigQuery.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks like Airflow.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Understanding of authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, API keys) and secure multi-tenant architectures.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, CDP systems and their APIs.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures and real-time data processing.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance (GDPR, SOC2).
• Experience in multi-tenant SaaS or large-scale data-intensive environments.
