Staff Product Manager, Card Schemes (Fintech)

Base salary: $175K–$250K annually

What you will do

• Lead high-impact payments product initiatives from ideation through launch.
• Expand card-scheme coverage and market availability so merchants can accept major card brands.
• Optimize card payment infrastructure through new industry standards and collaboration with machine learning teams.
• Improve payment success rates and build scalable foundations that reduce manual operations.
• Manage the end-to-end payment lifecycle, including scheme connections, authorizations, captures, refunds, and reconciliation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience, ideally in a high-growth environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably with engineering or computer science coursework.
• Deep payment-processing expertise, ideally including direct acquiring integrations with Visa and Mastercard.
• Technical understanding sufficient for architectural discussions with engineering teams.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-structuring, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in San Francisco and collaborate across cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.

• Experience with direct Visa and Mastercard integrations on the acquiring side.
• Experience working in a high-growth environment.
