TL;DR

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Fintech): Taking ownership of the Route to Live team to ensure resilience, scalability, and innovation in delivering microservices and cloud-native infrastructure with an accent on security, vulnerability management, and CI/CD integration. Focus on partnering with engineering and data teams to troubleshoot pipeline challenges while establishing reliability standards and technical documentation.

Location: Hybrid (must be based in or able to commute to Edinburgh or Leeds office 40% of the time)

Salary: £70,929 - £78,810

What you will do

  • Manage Run and Build activities for cloud-native estates within the Data Centre of Excellence.
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities within cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, and product teams to resolve deployment and infrastructure challenges.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks, upgrade plans, and incident playbooks.
  • Mentor team members and provide technical guidance through walkthroughs and reusable templates.
  • Track project risks and deliverables using JIRA and Confluence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security principles and vulnerability management.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
