Fraud Investigator (UK Fraud)

Location: Hybrid in London or Kent, UK; office attendance three days per week. Monday and Friday may be worked from home, with office work expected Tuesday through Thursday. The role includes one full weekend shift every four weeks, followed by two weekdays off in lieu.

What you will do

• Conduct fraud checks on new applicants and existing customers.
• Investigate scams and application fraud in detail.
• Use fraud systems and intelligence sources to make case decisions.
• Report fraud cases to organisations such as Cifas.
• Support application checks and existing-customer monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to improve fraud-prevention products and processes.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong organisational skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of cases.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to develop professionally and stay informed about current fraud trends.
• Previous fraud experience is advantageous, particularly in unsecured loans or credit cards.
