Senior AI Game Designer

hirify.global Games is an international game studio developing a next-generation AAA sports simulator targeted for release in 2028–2029.

What you will do

• Design and tune AI behaviours for teammates and opponents, focusing on tactical interaction, positioning, and collaboration.
• Create strategic, challenging, and adaptive opponent AI for sports simulation gameplay.
• Collaborate with programmers, designers, animators, and artists to develop realistic and consistent AI systems.
• Optimize AI systems for smooth performance across PC and console platforms.
• Test and improve AI logic using playtesting, analytics, and team feedback.
• Document AI mechanics and present design solutions to leads and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience as a game designer, ideally on PC and console titles.
• Strong expertise with Unreal Engine, including Blueprints and related tools.
• At least two years of experience designing and implementing AI behaviours for competitive or sports-oriented games.
• Understanding of state machines, navigation, pathfinding, strategy, and tactical modelling.
• Ability to create complex and believable AI behaviour that improves player engagement.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with sports simulators, tactics, and team dynamics.
• Understanding of coordination, positioning, and strategic gameplay design.
