What you will do

• Design, code, debug, and integrate embedded real-time control software using C and RTOS or embedded Linux
• Develop device drivers and communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553
• Lead or support system-level design, integration, and validation of electro-mechanical subsystems
• Develop fire control algorithms and dynamic models using MATLAB/Simulink
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interface with customers and suppliers
• Support lab and field testing activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering or related field
• Must have or be able to obtain Security Clearance
• Strong foundation in embedded real-time systems and C programming or integrated hardware/software systems
• Experience with RTOS, embedded Linux, control systems, and signal processing
• Willingness to work onsite in Goleta, CA
• Travel availability up to 10–15%

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or specialized training
• Experience with control theory, fire control systems, modeling/simulation
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and network security
• Defense or aerospace system development experience
