What you will do

  • Collaborate closely with Perception engineers to enhance development workflows and velocity.
  • Bridge Perception and infrastructure teams to optimize resource sharing and system performance.
  • Lead system design and drive multi-year roadmaps anticipating future scale and technology needs.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction within large engineering organizations.

Requirements

  • Location: Must work onsite in Mountain View, California, United States
  • 15+ years of software engineering experience with extensive technical leadership.
  • Proven experience designing and building large-scale ML systems handling large data and workloads.
  • 6+ years in technical leadership roles guiding teams and setting technical direction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with user-focused system design and evolution.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing cross-organizational system transitions under production demands.
  • Expertise in modern ML data, training, and evaluation systems for large models.
  • Budget management experience for compute, storage, and memory resources supporting large developer teams.
