Data Engineer

Salary: $164,000 - $338,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines connecting various cloud data sources.
• Develop deep understanding and optimization of Figma’s core data models.
• Partner with Data Science and Infrastructure teams to build trusted foundational data sets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to derive requirements and architect shared datasets.
• Establish best practices for specialized data sets for analytics and modeling.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the United States or able to work remotely within the US
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Fluency in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, and ETL/reverse ETL tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of data modeling methodologies for robust data architectures.
• Experience with business systems such as Salesforce, Customer IO, Stripe, NetSuite.
