Senior Python Engineer (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Research, design, code, test, and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling.
• Build and maintain complex data pipelines and AI/ML systems.
• Manage technical objectives and provide hands-on technical leadership.
• Make architectural decisions focused on scalable, maintainable, and efficient software.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with researchers, portfolio managers, and business-facing technology teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a top-tier institution.
• 5+ years of Python development experience focused on data engineering and AI/ML systems.
• Expert knowledge of Python and its ecosystem, including Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Git, CI/CD, agile methodologies, and communicating complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in the finance industry.
• Experience with PyTorch, scikit-learn, large language models, agents, or systems of agents.
