Staff Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Build and evolve back-end and front-end systems serving customer-support use cases at scale.
• Contribute to technical architecture, scalability, availability, performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Drive software development from ideation and prototyping through design, implementation, and incremental deployment.
• Balance hands-on engineering with technical leadership and architecture work.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts to deliver customer value.
• Participate in hiring, mentoring, and career development for engineers while shaping technical strategy with the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• Significant demonstrated impact on products and/or engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• At least two years as the primary technical leader for a team.
• Experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers and delivering value to customers or users.
• Pragmatic approach with a strong understanding of product strategy.
