TL;DR

What you will do

  • Drive direct sales and new business acquisition within Federal, State, and Local government agencies.
  • Manage a portfolio of key government accounts and lead complex contract negotiations and awards.
  • Develop and execute account strategies and lead full proposal lifecycles including RFPs and RFIs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Contracting Officers, C-Level government executives, and program sponsors.
  • Ensure compliance with government security, legal, and procurement requirements for SaaS contracts.
  • Track account performance and manage contract renewals and upsells.

Requirements

  • Must have 5+ years of experience selling SaaS or enterprise platforms directly to US Federal, State, and Local government markets.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and managing complex government contracts.
  • Experience leading full proposal responses and contract negotiations.
  • Deep understanding of government acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and budget cycles.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with government executives and contracting officers.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, presentation tools, and productivity suites.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling data, analytics, or healthcare technology solutions to Federal Health Agencies and State Health Agencies.
  • Familiarity with government compliance standards such as FISMA, FedRAMP, CMMC, HIPAA/HITECH.
