Senior UX Engineer

What you will do

• Lead front-end craft and design system development (80%) and API-aware performance engineering (20%)
• Collaborate with designers to define and maintain the design system and visual language
• Ship pixel-perfect UIs primarily using React, including theming, performance, and motion
• Instrument and optimize Core Web Vitals, bundle sizes, and hydration patterns
• Provide internal tooling and AI rules to support front-end contributions across teams
• Prototype and validate product ideas into interactive proofs-of-concept
• Champion design quality and visual detail through critiques and standards

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work setup in London
• English: B2 level or higher (job posting in English)
• 4+ years professional front-end engineering experience with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript at production scale, including hooks, suspense, and server components
• Deep CSS knowledge (Tailwind or equivalent) and modern browser APIs
• Experience building or migrating component libraries and design systems
• Strong performance tuning skills including Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, and bundle analysis
• Familiarity with monorepo tooling (NX or Turborepo) and micro-frontend patterns
• Ability to work with back-end code (Node, React-router, SvelteKit) to improve performance

Nice to have

• Experience with Svelte, Web Components, or other frameworks
• Knowledge of auth flows (OAuth2, OpenID Connect) and secure front-end patterns
• Skills in web motion and animation
• Experience with B2B developer tools or dashboards at seed-to-Series-B stage
