Senior BI Developer (Power BI)

Salary: £70,000 per year for the permanent role; contract rate negotiable

Hiring for a Power BI development role supporting a client in the London Market insurance sector.

What you will do

• Develop BI, SQL, and Power BI reporting solutions.
• Build reporting for delegated underwriting authority and London Market operations.
• Champion data quality, dashboard UX, and visual storytelling.
• Define and report on insurance data models, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Act as the domain expert for DUA reporting and engage with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in Power BI development and insurance reporting.
• Experience with BI/SQL development, MI analysis, and T-SQL.
• Experience with Microsoft SSIS, Microsoft SSRS, and distributed source control systems such as Git or Mercurial.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Proven insurance-sector experience, ideally with London Market or DUA operations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake.
• Knowledge of additional data and reporting tools.
