FP&A Systems and Data Analyst (Power BI)

Location: Charlotte, NC; in-office Monday–Thursday with a remote option on Friday. The position is primarily office-based, with limited project-based travel.

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead Power BI development for revenue, margin, SG&A, operating expenses, headcount, KPIs, forecasts, and executive reporting.
• Build and maintain financial data models, DAX measures, Power Query logic, dataflows, and reusable reporting datasets.
• Design data structures supporting operating forecasts, long-range planning, consolidated reporting, and repeatable analysis.
• Automate manual reporting processes and improve data quality, metric alignment, and reporting consistency.
• Investigate refresh errors, data discrepancies, modeling issues, and inconsistencies in reporting outputs.
• Provide analytical support, variance analysis, and actionable insights to FP&A and Finance stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query/M, dimensional modeling, dataflows, and workspace administration.
• Two to six years of experience in BI development, data analytics, FP&A, financial reporting, or a related area.
• Knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and core FP&A concepts.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, plus SQL or relational database experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage 300, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Experience in construction, infrastructure, utilities, EPC, engineering, or project-based industries.
• Experience supporting multi-entity or private equity-backed organizations.
• Experience with Office Connector and AI tools.
