What you will do
- Deliver custom software for the public sector, focusing on outcome-based delivery.
- Work on a variety of different problems, from monoliths to microservices, utilizing diverse programming languages.
- Coach and mentor colleagues and customers in DevOps culture and practices.
- Empower teams to rapidly deliver changes to production through CI/CD pipelines.
- Document architecture and infrastructure as code, using technologies such as Terraform and OpenAPI.
- Leverage cloud automation, containerization, and services like AWS Lambda for scalable applications.
Requirements
- Experience writing code with tests and delivering in an agile environment.
- Ability to work across a variety of programming languages and with at least one cloud platform.
- Proficiency with databases, APIs, and debugging in a range of systems.
- Demonstrated evidence of self-development and a desire to mentor others.
- English: B2 required.
- 5 years' continuous UK residency required for SC (security check) clearance eligibility.
- 5 years' employment history (or back to full-time education) required for SC clearance eligibility.
Nice to have
- Consultancy experience and working directly with customers and users.
- Experience within multidisciplinary teams (product, design, and technology).
- Familiarity with Agile practices such as Scrum, XP, and/or Kanban, and pair programming.
- Experience with test-driven development and component-based design techniques (e.g., pattern libraries, styled-components).
- Skills in debugging infrastructure and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with the React ecosystem, Terraform, Cloud Formation, and architectural design patterns.
