What you will do

• Design and develop middleware components bridging HAL, framework, and application layers in Android Automotive OS.
• Implement and integrate Vehicle HAL, Audio HAL, Camera HAL, and custom system services.
• Develop native daemons and JNI layers interfacing with low-level drivers and services.
• Collaborate with platform and BSP teams for Android bring-up on automotive SoCs.
• Optimize performance, boot time, and memory usage within middleware and system layers.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and feature design workshops.

Requirements

• Experience: 4–10 years in Android platform or middleware development, preferably in automotive domain.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
• Strong expertise in Android framework and middleware architecture (AOSP).
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, Kotlin, JNI, and Binder IPC.
• Experience with HAL development and Android build system tools.
• Understanding of Linux kernel concepts, device drivers, and automotive communication protocols.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Qualcomm automotive SoCs (SA8155/SA8295/SA6145).
• Experience with audio routing, projection (CarPlay/Android Auto), or vehicle property services.
• Knowledge of security, SELinux, and Android system permissions.
• Exposure to AAOS stack, Google certification, and GAS integration.
