Senior Technical Program Manager (Gen-1 Spacecraft)

Location: San Francisco, United States. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.

Base salary: $150,000–$205,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive anomaly resolution, orbit adjustment planning, demonstration activities, and software version upgrades for satellites in orbit.
• Develop integrated program schedules with measurable milestones and maintain execution against them.
• Set priorities for spacecraft operations and remove day-to-day execution obstacles.
• Coordinate with engineering groups covering flight software, avionics, payloads, and ground stations, as well as U.S. Government and commercial sales stakeholders.
• Identify risks, drive them to closure, communicate progress, and develop company-wide program management processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or similar degree in engineering or physics.
• More than 7 years of engineering experience on large, complex hardware programs.
• More than 3 years of engineering management or program/project management experience.
• Excellent internal and external communication skills.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, overcome obstacles creatively, and document tactical plans clearly.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
• Hands-on experience managing hardware or software through launch and on-orbit operations.
