Senior Technical Program Manager, Application & Platform Security

Location: Hybrid role based near Long Beach, California, with some work required onsite. U.S. citizenship and eligibility under ITAR export regulations are required.

Base salary: $140,000–$210,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of Application Security and Platform Security initiatives from intake through completion.
• Build and maintain program plans, milestone schedules, dependency maps, backlogs, and tracking in Jira.
• Run sprint and backlog ceremonies, weekly status reviews, and quarterly planning cycles for both teams.
• Coordinate estimation, task decomposition, resource alignment, and delivery risk across concurrent workstreams.
• Manage dependencies with software engineering, IT, GRC, cloud and platform teams, vendors, and external assessors.
• Provide current, risk-focused program visibility and support roadmap, prioritization, and capacity planning across Security & Infrastructure.

Requirements

• 10+ years combining application or platform security with technical program management.
• Deep expertise in at least one area such as secure SDLC, vulnerability management, CI/CD pipeline security, cloud and infrastructure security, or identity and access management, with credible knowledge of the other.
• Experience owning concurrent workstreams with cross-functional dependencies and external stakeholders.
• Strong Jira or equivalent program-tracking proficiency and clear communication for executive audiences.
• U.S. citizenship required; must be clearable and eligible under applicable ITAR requirements.
• Must be located near Long Beach and able to work onsite when required.

Nice to have

• Information security engineering experience followed by a move into technical program management.
• Experience working with software engineering and platform or DevOps teams.
• Familiarity with NIST RMF, FedRAMP, or federal compliance environments.
• Experience in defense technology, aerospace, or DoD contractor environments.
