What you will do

• Coordinate SMT efforts on new program launches.
• Set up and revise manufacturing processes for current programs.
• Assist manufacturing operations in problem-solving and continuous process improvements, such as reducing scrap, increasing OE, and reducing cycle time.
• Oversee tooling, fixture, and gauge design per job launch plans.
• Develop, program, and improve all SMT processes.
• Perform rework and repair of SMT and through-hole components on PCBs.

Requirements

• Experience with soldering, de-soldering, inspection, and rework of electronic components using industry-standard equipment and practices.
• Knowledge of IPC standards and assembly drawings.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and develop process controls.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively plan and prioritize work to accomplish multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Bachelor of Engineering OR in lieu of a Bachelors’ degree, a High School Diploma AND 8 + years’ experience as a SMT Engineer in a Clean room plant, preferably Automotive products.
